main tera dushman, dushman tu mera Chapter 6 (A+ B+ C)

CHAPTER 6A

Khushi got up with the sharp pain in her head, as someone was nailing her head with the hammer.

"Aaah...my head!" she cried, as she floundered in pain.

"Get up and drink this lemon juice!" he said.

She opened her eyes and looked at Arnav. "Where am I?" she asked.

"Open your eyes properly and see yourself. You are not yet in a mental asylum!"

"Arnav, shut up my head is hurting!"

"Who the hell told you to drink?"

"Why didn't you stop me when I was drinking?" she asked.

"Is there anybody in this world born who can stop you from doing something that you want to do? You nearly forced yourself on me!" he said, as he knew this was perfect time to tease her.

She all of sudden sat up in fear. "Arnav, what did I do?"

"Ask me what you didn't do? You were so drunk and I only know the way you were behaving."

Khushi's heart beat was so wild that she forgot her headache for a while.

"Khushi, it is okay. We are husband wife, we can do all this right. It's okay!"

"Arnav, please tell me you are kidding!" she said. She got up the bed. He was quite and trying hard to suppress his laugh. She was trying hard to not to break down.

"Oh, how stupid I was to drink? Arnav I was drunk, at least you would have stopped me. Even you proved that you are like every other men. How could I forget that you are such a womaniser. Arnav, you shouldn't have brought your hatred in all this!"

"How could I have stopped myself? You tell me? When you were kissing me and saying that you love me so much!"

"Arnav, not even in my dream I will say that to you. And my top? I was wearing white top!"

"See!" he said.

She hit his chest. "Arnav, please tell me you are kidding. Please, Arnav."

"Relax, I am kidding!" he finally said. Seeing her crying.

"You are not saying this to make me feel good!"

"No! Khushi, I know we hate each other so much that we can kill each other, but love, yes, not even in a dream. But honestly you could trust me on that. I won't touch you against your wish. I hate you, but not this much that I would take advantage of you! And even if you would be the last girl I would like to kill you first then myself."

She finally felt relief. But she knew she was ready to attack him, she held his shirt. "You moron, I am going to kill you for joking with me! But how come my clothes got changed."

"Di, did, chuhiya. Leave me!"

"Oh no! Then you have  told her that I was drunk? Why did you, Arnav? How would I face them?" she moaned and held her head in pain.
"Right now my head is hurting otherwise, swear on god I would have broken something of yours!" she said.

"Shut up, stop blaming me, just by looking at you Anjali di guessed you were drunk. And by now everyone knows that you were drunk. It is okay, forget about it and have this lemon juice!"

More than her hangover Khushi was worried about how would she face her in-laws.
"Everyone will be home, right? How would I face everyone, Arnav?"

"Look at the clock, Mrs. Khushi, it's 2:30 in the afternoon! Everyone have gone to their work! But, yes, you should find some good excuses why were you drunk."

"Arnav, I need a coffee. I think will die with this headache!"

"Perfect, I should let you die. I think I would never get a better chance to free myself from you!

"Arnav!"

"What Arnav? Drink that Lemon juice and if you will drink coffee on an empty stomach you will surely die, fatso!"

She gulped lemon juice down her throat. "Arnav, what shall I do please save me? Mumma, papa must be very mad at me!"

"That's so. Anjali di, said the moment you came in front of her eyes she will scold you. And you haven't seen her scolding. It is worst. She said she will even call a family meeting in which she will tell everyone that it was the height. Ever before now none in this family, any daughter, daughter in law came home drunk, or even touched alcohol. And you drunk the whole bottle. Khushi, I am sorry I cannot save you now. But it is good right, they will finally see you as a bad daughter-in-law, unsuitable for this family and it will tata bye bye of you."

Khushi was going to have a nervous wreck for sure that was how much she was scared. Arnav was enjoying it to his heart content.

'Mrs. Raizada, this is what a real jerk is like!' he amused.

"I hope your headache is okay now!" he said. She looked at him.
"Weather outside is really bad. It seems it's going to rain!" he said as he looked outside the window. "I don't know why I feel there will be a storm coming by tonight!"

Khushi grew even more scared. She knew he was referring to what her condition was going to happen even though weather indeed was really bad. Her heart never settled, but only thudded louder and louder.

"I should leave now!"

"Arnav, where are you going?"

"I am going outside!"

"Arnav, why don't you stay at home. Weather is really bad outside, right?" she said nervously. Arnav laughed to himself and then turned around to look at her with a serious face.

"Khushi, you think of me so much, but I am sorry I won't be able to help you!"

"Arnav, please stay at home. That would be enough for me!" she said.

HP was passing by their room she stopped him and asked him to get strong coffee.

"Are you mad? You will fall sick!"

'If I didn't have a coffee, I will die for sure!'

'Oh, it feels so good to have your prey all set to be attacked!'

But joke was apart he didn't want her to get sick. When HP came he told him to get something for her to eat first.

"Khushi, can you hear something?"

"What, Arnav?"

"Footsteps! Dhak dhak dhak!" he said.

"That's heartbeat!"

"Whose?"

"Can you hear my heartbeat?" she asked.

"You must be really hungry, right? May be that is why your heartbeat is loud!"

Khushi kept her hand on her chest and tried to breathe in an out to calm herself. But it wasn't working. Only negative thoughts came into her mind. And she could imagine anger of her in laws.

"Arnav, please save me this time I promise I will not ever say anything bad to you!"

"Khushi, I don't promise, but if you are begging me I will see!"

"Please, Arnav, somehow convince them!"

He nodded as he was really sorry for her, but Khushi knew he must be so wanted to dance in happiness seeing her in this terrible condition. But she didn't want to say anything to him when she knew she needed a favour from him. Every dog has a day.  It was just not hers today. She had to make a donkey her father when she was in a desperate need.

"They really left in anger. I mean dad, and Anjali di. Mom was feeling so ashamed."

She looked at him even more scared.

"Here, HP has come with food. Thank you, HP, your mam needs lot to eat! This little won't work!"

"What would she like to have, sir?"

"Something nutritious. Like chicken, fish!"

"Arnav, I don't eat non-veg!"

"Uh-oh!"

"Get every green vegetable for her, it shall work. Beans salad, spaghetti, anything!"

"Yes, sir!"

"One more cup of coffee, HP!"

"Khushi, that's your second cup already. Stop drinking coffee!"

She didn't listen him.

"Don't blame me if you fall sick!"

"Could you please shut up?" She shouted. "I am already so tensed here and you are not keeping your mouth shut. I know you are enjoying all this."

"Keep your volume down, alright? You shouldn't be doing things that you will put you in problems. Why are you expecting me to help you? I would say make more such mistakes and get out of my life. It has been only a week we are married and you have made my life hell already. I can't do the things that I always did!"

"Even I have sacrificed enough, Arnav. Nobody listened me. Our parents only thought of themselves. They..." She just sat down before she could loose her temper. "Even I don't want to live with you!" she shouted despite of trying to stop herself from saying anything. "I wish I would have rather actually taken your suggestion and killed myself instead of marrying you. Jerk!"

"Get out of here before I seriously do any harm. Do not show me your face!"

"And you do not show me your face!" she said, and left the room.

"Chuhiya, I better had told mom dad myself that you were drunk!" he regretted.

Chapter 6B: TAKING CARE OF MY SICK WIFE

Arnav was sitting in his room waiting for Khushi. He knew everyone must be coming home and they will only ask about her whereabouts. He tried to call her from his phone but she was not picking up, then he instead tried from the home number, he was worried now as she did not pick it either.

"Man, what a problem she is?"

He heard the door bell and wondered if it was Khushi. He marched out of the room, his mother and sister were home.

"Hey, Chote, where is Khushi, bitiya? And how is she feeling? Did her fever go down?"

"She isn't home!" he said galled.

"What do you mean she isn't at home?" Anjali asked. "Has she gone somewhere?"

"She didn't tell me before leaving," he answered.

"She must have told you it's you who hadn't paid attention!" his mother said.
Arnav was agiated.

"Call her and ask where is she?"

"I call her!" Anjali said, but her phone was unavailable.

"She isn't picking up the phone, oh god, weather is so bad and it's we know how did we get home, we couldn't even see more than few cm away.

"Chote, what are you doing here? Just go and see her, where is she? I can't believe you don't even know the whereabouts of your wife. Did you call her friends and enquired at her home?"

"Her friends are not in town, and no she has not gone to her home either."

"Go and see her then!" Anjali instructed.

"Di, I am not going anywhere!"

"If anything happened to her, it will be only you who will be responsible," his mother warned.

Arnav looked at them. "Fine!" he muttered under his breath and left the home.

"If I will be able to look clearer in this weather!" he said annoyed, and sat in his car. "Have I gotten extra clear vision that I won't be affected by the rain."

He tried to call her phone number again.  "Chuhiya! Itni se toh hain, dhondhne mein mileage toh bhi theek hain. (She is so tiny, it will be great if I can find her.) "Otherwise, I am sure I won't get to step back home."

Arnav made a wild guess and he knew she would have gone to the beach again. "If I found her there I will surely gonna throw her in the water to let whales eat her," he said and when he remembered when she was drunk, and the story she was making, it made him smile. "Seriously, God you thought we were best fits?" he asked and drove towards the beach.

When Arnav reached at the beach there was no one. And of course in the wild weather who would have really come out except his wife, he thought.

But he didn't see Khushi's car anywhere. But he decided to check once. His heart beat got furious when he looked at someone lying at the edge of the beach, a girl it looked like. He just wanted that it wasn't Khushi, as he went close and looked carefully, it was Khushi.

He wondered how long she had been drenched in cold and hoped she hadn't caught pneumonia.

Khushi opened her eyes, and looked at him and screamed. "You?"

"What the hell?" he covered his ears.

"What are you doing here?"

"Don't you think I should ask you this question?"

She stood on her feet feeling groggy.
"Why do you care?"

"Answer me first, what are you doing in the rain? What the heck made you come here, what if you were swept away by the waves the way you were lying here? And you asked me, why I care? I don't. But my family does care for you and to them I have to give answers about your whereabout."

She was quite, and looked away from him. "Now they won't care for me!" She muttered.

"For god sake, at least tell where you are going before leaving the house? If you don't care about yourself think how others are affected by you," he said angrily.

She was going to leave without answering him, this made him mad, he held her hand and pulled her. The other moment she was in his arms. Her eyes were red as she was crying.

And Khushi was forced to look into his eyes. A song played in her mind.

Kabhi jo baadal barse
Main dekhoon tujhe aankhein bharke
Tu lage mujhe pahli baarish ki duaa

She could feel his hands around her waist fixed at one place, that were warm against her cold body. Shivers due to cold made goosebumps raise on her body, but the heat of his body made her forget about herself as well.

Tere pahloo mein reh loon
Main khudko paagal keh loon
Tu gham de ya khushiyaan
Seh loon saathiya

As rain water drizzled down her hair trailing the fine line of her neck, made him want to kiss it. Khushi's body tightened as he leant in and with the tip of his tongue he sensually kissed away the drops of water.

Koi nahi.. tere siva mera yahaan
Manzilein.. hain meri to sab yahaan
Mita de sabhi aaja faasle
Main chahoon mujhe mujhse baant le
Zara sa mujhme tu jhaank le
Main hoon kya?

She arched her neck to give him the full access. The sound of his uneven breath made her intoxicated and weak on her knees. Her face flushed and she ran towards the car.

Arnav ran after her and held her right on time before she got into the car and pressed her back against the the car window.

Kabhi jo badal barse
Main dekhun tujhe aankhein bharke
Tu lage mujhe pehli barish ki duaa

Arnav leaned in to kiss her, her heart was almost at the verge of coming out of her chest. She clenched his shirt tightly, and her breathing all together halted.

Tere pahloo mein rah loon
Main khudko pagal kah loon
Tu gham de ya khushiyaan, sathiya.

*Snap*

Khushi all of sudden was now out of her dream land. She looked at Arnav, no longer look of affection on his face, but anger. A pain rose in her chest.

"Would you mind coming out of dreamland and tell me why were you drenching in the rain?"

"Let's go home, Arnav!" She said, broken.

***
"Here you go your so lovely daughter-in-law!" he said.

"Anjali, go and run and get towel!" Mrs. Raizada said when she saw Khushi entered the home completely drenched in rain. But Arnav's jacket draped around her shoulders.

"Khushi, what is this dear? You were already sick and you drenched in rain?"

"Khushi, oh goodness, just come with me and change your clothes," Anjali said.

"Yes, Anjali, take up her to her room I get something warm for her to eat!"

"How did you drench, Khushi?"

"Of course she got drenched in the rain!" Arnav said, as he shook his head. "Look after her I am afraid that she will not see her next day in this condition."

Anjali took Khushi to her room and Khushi went into the washroom and changed her clothes. She never realised when did she loose her senses and dreamt of Arnav and why? When she got out of the washroom, Anjali said,"Get into the blankets fast!"

Mrs. Raizada, was back with soup.

"Bitiya, you shouldn't be careless when you are sick!" Mrs. Raizada said. "Anjali, make her drink this soup!"

"Suchitra mam, Rajwansh sir is looking for you!"

"Mom you see dad I look after Khushi!"

As soon as Mrs. Raizada left, Khushi said, "Anjali di, I am sorry, I drank last night...I know mumma papa must be really mad at me, I promise I won't do that again! Di, I never drink last night it was just by a mistake!"

"Relax, dear. Chote, already told me everything."

"What did he say?" she asked.

"That by mistake you drank alcohol thinking that it was a juice!"

Khushi looked at her surprised. "And don't worry, mom dad won't even know this. Me and chote told them that you were sick!"

"Arnav, was just joking around with me?" she thought.

"Di, I promise I won't do this mistake again!"

"It's okay. Mistake happens. You shouldn't be thinking about it too much?"

"Where is he now?"

"He just left to the theatre room after changing, you want to talk to him?"

"No, I was..."

"I understand. I send him upstairs. Dear meanwhile, you finish your soup. And do not get out of the blanket until we allow you!"

Khushi nodded.

***
"Chote!"

"What now?" he said.

"Khushi wants to see you!"

"I am little busy, di!" he said.

"Chote, she isn't well. Just go and see her!"

He looked at his brothers and warned them. "Never ever get married, I am telling!" he muttered as he left the theatre room.

"Poor bhai!" Akaash said.

***
"What?" he asked, as soon as he entered the room.

"Arnav, you didn't tell the family that I was drunk!"

"I am planning too, you just don't worry."

"Arnav, I am sorry!"

"Sorry, my foot!" he said.

"It's all your mistake, Arnav. I was worried and you made a joke!"

"My mistake was too joke with you, yes. I forgot that jokes are done with friends not with enemies. We were enemies and will remain enemies for sure. And from now on wards do not talk to me!" he said and left.

"Egoistic. Good who really wants to talk to you!"

She sneezed, and her voice was already hoarse.

***
After dinner, everyone in the family came to Khushi's room to know how she was doing.

"Bitiya, did you take the medicine?" Mr. Raizada asked.
"Yes, papa!"
"Good, by morning your fever should go away!"
"Where is chote?"
"Bhai, is in the study doing office paperwork!"
"Call him now!" Mr. Raizada said.
"Yes, uncle!" Dhruv said, and left to call Arnav.
"I am sorry, papa, I didn't mean to trouble you all!" Khushi said.
"Not at all, bitiya. Who said you are troubling us? You are our child and
it is our duty to take care of you."
"Thank you, papa!"

"Dad, you called?" Arnav said.
"Yes, he called!" Mrs. Raizada said. "What are you doing? Khushi bitiya is sick and you are working? How irresponsible? Have you forgotten that she was helping you day and night?"

"Who would really argue with them?" he thought.

"We should leave now, Khushi bitiya you sleep. And, you, see if she needs anything!" Mrs. Raizada said to Arnav, and everyone left.

"Take care, Bhabi!" Akaash, NK, and Dhruv said.

Khushi nodded.

"Why all this drama?" he asked. "You are sick only because of yourself and do not expect me to help you and dare to say anything to me!"

He took his clothes from the wardrobe. "Where the heck my black track pants are?" he grunted. It was right in front of him, but he threw all the clothes out and at last took what he needed.

"This is how I like my clothes, alright? Do not ever touch them!"

Khushi was pissed, he had ruined all her hard work. She had set all his clothes in place but now they were the same.

"Arnav, you don't find clothes in a proper folded clothes, but in a clutter!"

"Shut up, Moti, I said do not talk to me!"

"Why are you talking to me?"

"I can do anything, but you can't!" he shouted.

"No, I will do everything I wish. I will also talk to you."

"You just keep your mouth shut that will be better!"

He angrily walked up to the bed and separated his bed from hers. Threw the bed sheet at her and fixed his own bed.

"If you are planning on to cough like that whole night get out of my room!"

"Why would I, huh? You get out of my room."

"Khushi, this is my promise to you very very soon you will be out of this house. You wait and watch!"

"I am waiting for that day!" she said and didn't know why what she was sad. And this made her mad. She laid on the bed. Weather outside was getting worst and worst.

Her throat hurt when she coughed. "And I will cough as much I want!" she said in tears. Her hormones were riding high.

She got even scared when Arnav turned off the lights.

"Arnav, I am scared!"

"What the heck I do then? I am not going to turn on the lights at all! I can't sleep with lights on!"

"Arnav, I am really scared. Look it's thundering outside!"

She was crying.

Arnav turned on the lamp light. "Why the heck you are crying?" he asked.

"I am scared of lightening and dark!"

Arnav took a deep frustrated sigh.
"Are you scared, lady Dracula?" He got up and joined the beds. "This is the least I could!"

"Arnav, please light turned on as well. Just the lamp light will also work!"

"Would you let me sleep then? And do not cough I am seriously warning you!"

"Arnav, I am sick."

"Who the heck told you to dance in the rain?"

"I wasn't dancing!" she immediately said nervously and thought was not she just dreaming about him?

"Shut up and sleep!" he laid and turned off the lamp.

"Arnav, I am going to di's room!"

Arnav turned on the lamp without saying a word.

She pocked finger on his back. She was so close, he didn't realise, his hand flew and it hit her cheek as a slap. And it was the worst slap she could have ever taken, her ear rang.

He suddenly sat up. Her cheeks were already red. "Khushi, I am sorry!" She made a crying face and the moment she started crying she was unstoppable.

"Khushi, don't cry please. I am sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you! I didn't mean to slap you!"

She sat in front of him, tears streaming down her big eyes. He felt a pang of guilt. "Khushi, you can slap me but please don't cry. Look I hold my ear!"

He saw an anger on her face. He expected her to jump on him but she didn't. "It's okay, Arnav!" she said.

"Why did you come on my bed?"

"To say thank you for keeping the lamp on!" (Aww)

"What the?" he said. "You got a welcome gift, didn't you?"

This made her angry and she jumped on him. "Moron!" She slapped his shoulder, and pulled his hair. Arnav laughed, and did not stop teasing her.

"Moti, you are heavy get off me!"
She literally jumped on him. "Here have it," she said. Arnav only laughed even harder. She weighed nothing, and if he wished he had pushed her without any problem, but he didn't. Then she herself moved back huffing and puffing, and coughed even harder, she moved her hair away from her face.

"Do not mess with me," she said. "If I want I can show you my martial arts!"

Arnav laughed as he too sat.

"Arnav, stop laughing otherwise I will slap you!"

"You already killed me!" he said, and she felt proud.

"Good if I had killed you!"

But he let the jokes apart and touched her cheek that were still red. Khushi shivered at his touch. Her heart did the flip and she couldn't stop herself from loosing herself in his touch. His hands were rough but so smooth was its touch.

"I am sorry, Khushi!" he said genuinely. He then touched her forehead.

"Lie down down sleep, you need sleep, you are sick!"

She moved back to her bed and laid with her back towards him. Arnav was still feeling really bad. He never ever thought he would raise his hand on a girl, not even on Khushi. He went to her and pulled blanket on her.

Khushi looked at him, their eyes met, he smiled. "Good night, Khushi! I am sorry once again!"

She didn't say anything, she looked away from him, and closed her eyes, thinking about the dream she had of him and hers.

CHAPTER 6C

In the middle of the night when clouds thundered wildly, Khushi's sleep broke. She shuddered as she tried to control the beat of her heart the minute it started raising in fear. She looked at Arnav who was sleeping peacefully and thankfully now he had switched on the light of the room. As skies roared, she breathed in and out to calm herself. She hid under the blanket and an inch by inch she moved at the edge of her bed, close to Arnav's bed and shut her ears with her hands, but it did no good to her, and her fear only increased. She told herself there was nothing to worry about. She was safe and sound and moreover she wasn't alone.
She rolled her eyes left and to the right.
Thunder grudged, and she clenched the blanket as slowly sound deafened, she whispered. "Arnav!" in an inaudible tone. "Arnav..."
Arnav moved a little, but he was still in deep sleep. He seemed not at all to be affected by the thundering, and she was surprised.
"Arnav," she called him little louder. Still he can't hear her. Now she wasn't sure she should call him, she knew he would be really mad, but she still called when through the window she saw a lightening.
"Arnav!" she quickly shouted with a newfound courage.
"What now?" he asked in a complaining tone.
"Arnav, I am scared of the lightening, and I feel really cold."
"I am sorry, Khushi, I cannot stop the lightening!"
She whined. "No, Arnav!"
"What I do now?" he asked, getting frustrated as she was disturbing his sleep.
"Arnav, can I sleep on your bed?"
"Where the hell I will sleep then?" he asked.
"Arnav, we can sleep on the same bed!"
"Okay!" he said. Khushi was surprised as he didn't protest, but he wanted to sleep so badly that he didn't protest.
Khushi laid beside him, tightly wrapped herself in her blanket.
"Thank you, Arnav!" she said.
"Hmm!" he muttered and soon she could hear his snores. Khushi maintained her distance, and tried to sleep. When thunder roared again in the sky violently, she hugged him tightly.
"What the?" he growled and turned his head towards her. She had her eyes tightly shut. When she opened her eyes she grinned and looked at her arm on him, and moved it away.
"Are you really scared of lightening, or you wanted to sleep with me?" he asked.
"No, I didn't want to sleep with you. I know it doesn't go well with my image, but I am scared of lightening. You know what happened, once I dreamt that lightening was shooting bullets at me. And it hit me once at my back."
Arnav was shaking his head. "I thought you only talk about such things when you are drunk!"
"What did I say in my drunk state?"
"You told me that once in your dream whale ate your one arm. When I said I will throw you in the beach!"
"How mean of you? You would have let me to die?"
"When the need will arise, yes! But I did have a perfect opportunity today!"
They didn't realise how coolly they were talking to each other. "You said you are cold!"
"Uh-huh!"
He gave her his blanket too, and touched her forehead. "Khushi, did you check your temperature?"
She shook her head, "Mumma did."
"Isn't the same thing?" he asked, and got up the bed.
"Where you going, Arnav?"
"No where, but to get thermometer."
Nowhere she thought he would care for her, hmm she was quite impressed by him. "Arnav, thank you!"
"What for?"
"Just like that!"
"You are welcome, just like that," he said, with a shrug of his shoulder, as he opened up the first aide box, took out the thermometer and shook it. Keeping the first aide box aside he went to her.
"Arnav, when mum checked it, I didn't have fever."
"Only open your mouth when I ask you, now open your mouth!"
"I am not a child!" she said.
"But you behave like a one," he said. She couldn't answer him when he tucked thermometer under her tongue.
"Did you eat your medicine?"
She nodded. When one minute passed he took out the thermometer that read 100 degrees.
"Mrs. Raizada, you have a fever. What shall I do now? Should I get..."
She listened to him, but interrupted him. "Don't worry, Arnav. Fever is only because of me drenched in rain, it is my mistake, you do not need to worry about it."
He was looking in her eyes and suddenly one question arose in his mind, "Khushi?!"
"Hmm!"
"Is there anything that is troubling you? I mean, in just few days especially since yesterday I have realised that you are bothered about something. I don't know, exactly if I should ask you this. Do your parents actually love you? Don't misunderstand me!"
Sudden wounds were fresh again, but she concealed them, at this point she didn't want to fuel them anyways. It didn't make any difference to her, she thought. "No they don't love me. If they had, they wouldn't have married me off to you!" she said.
"Fair enough! I wouldn't have sacrificed my life and my freedom either."
"You have started caring about me, right? Tell me you are in love with me?" she joked, to let go of the sick feeling inside her.
"Since you have already taken one slap from me, I don't want to slap you again since your cheeks are still red. And the answers to both questions are yes and no. I do care for helpless. And I don't break the promise of being enemies."
"I am happy that you are being honest with me!"
"What about you?" he asked.
"I will be honest, every time I see you I have to control myself kicking your ass!" she said and grinned showing her perfect pearl white teeth.
"Moti chuhiya!" he muttered.
She rolled down her bed and took the phone that she had tugged underneath the pillow and turned the camera on. When she coughed, he made a face. She giggled, and clicked the picture of both of them.
"For you, I am hell, my dear enemy!" she said.
Arnav rolled his eyes. "Would you mind going to your bed? Else I kick you?!"
"I am still scared, and I will sleep here. If you can't resist me sleeping beside you you can tell me!"
"As if you are doing favour on me by sleeping with me. Moti, if you sleep beside me, I am afraid you will take up the whole space, where resisting is concerned you don't even exist for me. Last but not the least, I don't want to get sick."
"Then I will defiantly sleep here!" she said, and wrapped both blankets on top of herself.
"Who can win with you in argument?" he said.
"Thank you, I would like to thank you God, my mumma, papa, Anjali di, my brother-in-laws, for that. And my husband aka my worst enemy, Arnav Singh Raizada for this honourable and the prestigious award!"
Arnav realised her own family was not in her mentions, it tell lot about her, what she wanted, and what bothered her, and surely it made him curious to know more about her, may be with time he thought he will get to know her.
"Khushi, you are the only one unique sample! How chirpy you are? You can't talk due to the soar throat then also you are not taking the name to stop."
"Yes, that truly I am. I feel honoured. You should be really proud that I am your wife!" she said.
"Sleep, Khushi, that's what you need!"
"But I can't sleep!"
"Why?"
"Because my head hurts!"
"Don't you think my head should hurt, rather than yours."
"Why, are you sick too?" she said being sarcastic.
He sat up and pressed her head. "Arnav...you don't have to do this!" she said.
"It's alright, least I could do is this. I am sorry for troubling you!"
"Yes, for that you should be sorry to me, you know I was really scared that mummy papa will be so mad at me. Arnav, you should sleep!"
"It's alright, I don't need sleep for more than four hours that I guess I have gotten! It's you who should sleep, because I know I will be blamed if by morning you didn't get well!"
She smiled, and tear slipped down her eyes. He wiped it without asking the reason. She closed her eyes and when she felt relieved she dozed off. Surprisingly, Arnav engaged her in talks and she forgot it was still thundering outside. He too lied down and rested his head on the pillow to sleep but he was looking at her. He softly pressed his hand on her cheek. Slap mark on her cheek, hurt him. He hated how her hurt was affecting her. But he was sure she wasn't bad as she showed herself.

Khushi opened her eyes and looked at Arnav sleeping beside her, with his mouth open, she didn't leave this chance and clicked picture of him. "Now I will show you the picture of you with your mouth open!" she said and chuckled.
He looked so charming in his sleep Khushi couldn't stop herself from admitting it. "You look so good when you are silent!" she said. "And like this I don't feel like smacking your head. But thank you, for taking care of me and letting me sleep with you, I felt guarded!" she admitted. "Otherwise, I always had been slept alone, nobody used to let me sleep with them! You are a cute, enemy!" she said.
She sat up the bed. "Urgggh! I hate being sick!" she said as she coughed and her throat was killing her.
When Arnav opened his eyes and looked at her moaning and complaining about sickness, he called her. She turned her face to him, and she looked terribly exhausted. "What happen?" he asked as he looked through sleepy eyes. "Cough hasn't gone yet!"
She nodded. "I feel bad for you!"
"You don't have to!" she coughed.
She took the cough syrup from the
night stand and gulped it down her throat. "Khushi, I think you have some serious issues!"
"What made you think that?"
"You drank half the bottle of that syrup on an empty stomach!"
He just had said when she rushed to the washroom to throw.
"Here you go!" he muttered. He covered his ear as she vomited.
She came out of the washroom and stood at the door of the washroom.
He was shaking his head. "My throat is killing me!" she said. "My head is hurting like hell!"
"Gulping down the bottle of syrup will kill you! Go downstairs and ask mom to make you drink kadha. It's bitter and taste ugly, since you are full of bitterness it will be okay for you!"
"Arnav, do not joke with me. I am sick!"
"Why are you complaining me? Go and see the doctor!"
"Thank you for the suggestion."
"Take one more suggestion, drink lots of water you will be okay!"
"Arnav, I can't walk!"
He sat and took a deep breath. "Why do you expect me to help you?" he asked.
"Fine, if you don't want to help me!" she said. She walked to the room and called HP. Her voice wasn't coming out.
"Khushi!"
"What?"
"I think you should come and sit, I don't know why I think you will die soon old lady!"
Khushi walked to her bed and threw the pillow at him.

"Good morning, mom!" Arnav said and touched her feet.
"Good morning, son, how is Khushi bitiya?"
"She is coughing madly, can you make kadha for her!"
"Sure, it will take some time for her to get well!"
"What happen?" Anjali asked, as she entered the kitchen.
"Hey, di. Khushi is still sick!"
"Goodness, is she up?"
"Yes!"
"I go and see her!" Anjali said.
"Chote, I am glad you are taking care of her!"
"I only know how I am taking care of her!" he said.
"Did you say something?"
"No, mom!"
"Chote, Mrs. Gupta called and she wondered if Khushi could go and see them."
"Great, she can go!" he said. "Even I can take a break from her!"
"You should go to!"
"Mom, what would I do there? I would go to office with dad!"
"Well, you should enjoy with your wife!"
"Mom, I married her that is enough. I don't want to argue on that!"
"I would say you both are getting along with each other quite well, and me and your father were expecting much worst actually! I don't think that day is far when you both will not be able to live without each other."
Arnav laughed.
"Mom you are awake, so stop dreaming."
His mother laughed.
"Here, son, give this to her to drink. Your wife will be okay very very soon!"
"My wife will be out this house very very soon!" he muttered to himself.
